Frequently Asked Questions

TSUBAME curates small‑batch, design‑led N-scale pieces from Japan, Taiwan and Hong Kong.

We keep our prices as close to Japan as we realistically can — no inflated margins, no games, no nonsense. Just fair, transparent pricing that respects the hobby and the people who love it.

We import carefully, keep our overheads low, and stay intentional so you’re not paying for anything you shouldn’t. It’s the way we’d want to be treated as collectors, so it’s the way we treat you.

Made for the journeys you return to again and again — the quiet yards, the late‑night running sessions, the little scenes on your layout that stay with you.

How does Tsubame Preorders work?

TSUBAME is introducing a simple, hobby‑friendly preorder system. Each model will require a small deposit to secure your place, with the amount depending on the item.

Around three weeks before your order arrives, we’ll get in touch to let you know it’s nearly here and to arrange the final payment.

If a preorder isn’t finalised by the delivery date, the item will quietly return to our store shelves for someone else to enjoy — and the deposit will be forfeited to cover our ordering costs.

This approach keeps things fair, transparent, and low‑risk for everyone, while helping us bring in the models you love most.

If there’s something you’ve been searching for — a rare model, a specific part, or a piece that completes your layout — we can bring it in specially for you.

We work directly with trusted suppliers in Japan and abroad, sourcing the items that matter to you most.

Tell us what you’re looking for, and we’ll handle the rest with the same care and attention we put into our own collections.
